My name is Hope Brown Johnson and I am a pianist and worship leader who loves to teach people about music!
I have a degree in Music from Concordia College in Moorhead, and have worked as a Music Director, musician, composer, arranger, and piano teacher for the last 10+ years. Whether teaching a lesson, leading a class, or jamming out at camp, my hope is students learn not only to love music but learn valuable life skills such as self-confidence, growth-mindset, discipline, and teamwork. It is an honor to teach music and watch every student grow!

I will be offering lessons in music theory, beginning/adult beginning piano lessons, and voice lessons for any level. I am equipped to teach voice for any challenge; whether it’s building confidence, addressing vocal health, growing range and skill, preparing for auditions, classical technique, vocal techniques of various cultures, and popular vocal techniques.

I am a graduate from MSU Moorhead with a bachelor’s degree in Audio engineering and a minor in music performance. Currently I am the technical arts coordinator at Hope Lutheran Church. I am a very versatile musician with knowledge in the following instrument list: Guitar, Piano, Drums, and bass. I am also the head engineer at Spacepod Studios in West Fargo.
I can teach you virtually any style of music. All the way from Heavy metal to Christian Contemporary, to jazz, to country. I was on the worship team for many years before pursuing a career path. Music has been a big part of my life, and I am open to sharing that love with anyone who wants to learn.
